Can you share with us how your experiments with light bulbs changed the course of your life over 20 years ago? Like literal light bulbs.

Literal light bulbs.

CFLs.

Gosh, I hate being the light bulb guy.

You're not anymore.

You're the rocket mass heater guy now.

So there was a big push for CFLs a long time ago, and I just didn't like it.

An incandescent light bulb is a simple, beautiful thing with healthy light coming out of it, and there's just a great light quality there.

And the funny thing is, since I live in Montana, winter comes when the days get short.

So we want light and heat.

And it's like people are kind of like, oh, those incandescent light bulbs are so stupid because they only give off 3% light and the rest of it is heat.

And by the way...

Light is radiant heat, one of the most efficient forms of heat.

And so it's kind of like...

Those light bulbs are, in the wintertime, they're, well, brilliant, no pun intended.

It is the smartest way to light your home.

And if you've got baseboard heaters in your home, you'll actually use less electricity overall if you light your home with incandescent light because it will be giving you that heat from the radiant heat.

And you'll end up turning your household thermostat down.

You will use less light.

Anyway, this is engineering.

I'm an engineer.

And people don't want to hear it because the other light bulbs have more light per watt.

Right.

And it doesn't matter if it's a toxic light.
