#64 Is the cEDH Meta Finally Changing? - Recent Trends vs. the Last Year

So points per game is a very simple concept.

If you are playing a four-person game and the winner gets five points, the average points per game that you should be looking at is 1.25. Because you take five, you divide it by four... each person on average at that table has gotten 1.25 points.

So at minimum, you should win a fourth of your games in a four player game.

So 1.25 is expected.

Um, If you win more often or you tie more often, you'll have a higher points per game.

But if you have a 1.25 points per game, that means that you're on an even playing field whenever you go to a tournament.

And that is like you are on an even playing field with the best of the best is what it means.

So like 1.25 means that you are keeping up with all of the good players.

Like you can say that you're a good player because you have 1.25.

If you have 1.3 or 1.4, that means you're better than the average player that goes to a tournament.

Which, when you think about it, you know, people are paying $100.

That group of people is very good players.

So for you to say, I'm better than that group of players is pretty cool.

Yeah.

But there are certain commanders that pretty consistently perform, which probably means that these decks have an edge in tournament settings.

And whenever I looked it up, I was actually pretty surprised who was coming out on top.

So I wanted to go over the best points per game deck over a year.

And I'm going to throw this out one more time.

Minimum 50 entries in 32 plus events.

So our overall winner was Joira, Ageless Innovator, which we know two people that really like that deck.

One person that's like, this is my deck.

I love it.

It's an artifact deck.

Which we'll see a trend here.

But that deck does really well.
