Whenever I grew up as a kid, I was told knowing is half the battle, so preparation is gonna be probably half of this tourna- tourname- Tournament Survival Guide.
[laughs] Um, if you only start preparing for your tournament the moment you walk in the door, not, not gonna be a great time maybe.
I would say also don't let it, like, discourage you if you do do that or if that was your first experience.
I, I mean, playing in a tournament and getting the experience is better than not playing in the tournament.
I mean, we, we kinda went over this in another podcast, but, you know, s- speed run, we drove four hours.
I thought shock lands were good enough, had no proxies, didn't even know where to go get proxies, and, uh, we'd just been kinda playing with our local group.
And we were probably, like, tier, tier three, maybe tier four in that group.
I remember I was just blown away where I was like, "Every- everybody just...
They win with what's, what's in their, their mulligan." Like, there's, there's no...
Like, you know, t- turn, turn two or three, like, they're, they're already pushing to win, and I didn't have any counters to stop them.
I didn't load my deck with counters, and how are they looking at seven cards and being like, "Yeah, I can win off this," you know? [laughs] Like...
