From Rebellious Teen To Quran Obsessed My Journey

Turning point for me was two things.

So first was...

How old are you at this point? I'm like maybe 13, 14.

Okay, cool.

So school introduces RE as a GCSE subject.

And mind you, at this point in time, we don't know what RE is.

We have Islamic studies.

RE is some crazy stuff that we've never heard of.

So we have this RE teacher who starts like lesson one.

What are the arguments against God's existence? And at 13, 14, never having been exposed to other religions or faiths or arguments, this is confusing.

And then he asks me I still remember He asks me to write A speech Arguments for God's existence And every point I relay He rebuts And he responds to Leaving me Without giving me Without rounding it off In some way So I'm sat there Maybe like 14 years old At this point And I'm a bit Correct And I'm confused now But the problem with me is I have this naturally curious nature and I love reading because we grew up like my parents had a large book collection and so nothing else at home.

So it's just read.

No

TV, no nothing.

No.

I grew

up with the vast majority of my childhood was like that.

um so i i'm an obsessive reader by nature so i have this muscular i have this question now and i don't have an answer so this now i have a real problem now i'm not sure about my answer of god's existence something i had always held in a fitri way from my childhood from from forever and i thought that it was a simple thing so i start looking into it i start exploring it etc Anyway, over the course of the year, I kind of end up in this point in time in which I say, okay, I realize the only way for me to objectively know Islam is the truth is the Quran.

They say the Quran is the miracle.

But how am I supposed to get, they say the miracle is in Arabic.

So I don't know Arabic.

So at this point, we're choosing our GCSEs and I choose GCSE Arabic.

But I can't wait because I'm in like this angst.

I want to know the answer.

I'm not waiting for Juicy Arabic to begin.
