Are you trying to create positive change in your life, but finding yourself caught between trusting the process and needing to control how everything unfolds? Perhaps you've done the inner work…
Underpinning everything that I share and talk about on this podcast and beyond this podcast There is a faith in an intelligent force that is invisible, that governs and operates for our highest and greatest good.
However, I appreciate this is not an easy or simple concept for everyone to accept.
I certainly myself have been on that journey where some years ago I would have rejected the idea.
or had some resistance, even though at the core of my being, I knew it to be true.
And so I really felt like it was time that I addressed this particular topic, because irrespective of where you are on your journey, whether you have faith in a higher intelligence and are comfortable with in your faith.
And this is that reminder because we all need those nudges and reminders to return back and come back when sometimes we can fall into doubt, into fear, and we need reminders from the universe to bring us home again.
Or it could be that you are relatively new to this path and you're questioning what to follow, how to follow, what to believe, what not to believe, when to discern and bring in your own judgment, or you're battling with, like I once did, this deep inner knowing inside of you that there is something that solid and true in what you're hearing.
However, because of some previous wounding that you've experienced in the past, your instinct is to reject it I'll share my own journey because I think so many of you will be able to relate to this.
from birth I never had any choice in the matter I was consumed by it not only because of my parents but they then exposed me to a wider community all of the people at the temple my extended family and so on and so forth I didn't know any different because I was never exposed to anything different other than their beliefs And when I finally got to an age where I was able to find my own voice and felt confident to voice my thoughts, questions and doubts, up until that point, I just followed it, blindly followed it and never even questioned it.
And it was very clear and very apparent that my parents' belief, my parents' religion did not align for me.
I wasn't getting the right answers that gave me the faith and the confidence that this was something that I wanted to go even further and deeper into.
So as I found my voice and it took many years to pull away from that, as you can imagine, having practiced it and it was a way of life and a way of being for over a decade, for the best part of like 14 years.
To pull away from that is not simple or easy or certainly did not happen overnight.
There was this very long, drawn-out process and transition that was painful and full of doubt and full of fear from myself, within myself, but also the pressure that I felt as well from my parents as well as they saw me pulling away and tried to... pull me back in.
And eventually, in my early adult years, I was confident enough to start pursuing and exploring and looking at other ways.
And One thing that I always knew and always had, and I suppose for me, it could have been because of this upbringing that I had, or it could just be an innate part of my soul's journey.
But deep down inside of me, I always had the confidence that there is something bigger and But despite that, because I had this experience of being blindly indoctrinated in a very dogmatic way, I became incredibly cautious.
So on the one hand, I was still searching and looking for new answers, a new practice, a new form of guidance, right? Yet at the same time, while I was searching for this...
