For a good part of the evening anyway, a sticky, stodgy Aberdeen performance.

That opening half in particular, Martin Ingram, left quite a lot to be desired, did it not?

It certainly did, and you stole exactly the word I would have used for that first half performance, or certainly until we got back level sticky.

I think there was an awful lot of people, because I was tracking social media while following along with the game as well, and I think there was quite a few people.

starting to get a bit antsy once Aberdeen fell behind in the game because, yeah, not only were we trailing, but, yeah, it looked a bit of a lethargic performance.

And I don't know whether, I mean,

you know,

we're not here to be making excuses for teams when they're going on the travels to play, you know, sides that are two or three levels below them.

But I think there probably is an element of, you know, they had a similar... element when you have to travel an awful long distance to go up to Broda and there is probably an element of especially with it being very new in the season that you may well be having to play yourselves into these games especially when you've travelled 150, 100 or 200 miles in order to get to these locations Broda and Dumfries are not the easiest places to get to so perhaps you can forgive them a little bit of lethargy in getting going um but yeah i think maybe maybe unwarranted concern amongst some of the dandies just waiting to see if it was actually ever going to kind of click into gear but um as it as it as it has done in in um both of the games that we're going to be covering it ultimately uh took an opportunity from a spot kick in order to get us up and running.

And I wouldn't necessarily say that that automatically kicked us into gear either because the first half still kind of petered out.

And while I'm not sure it got exponentially better in the second half, it certainly at least improved enough that we got from what could have been quite an uncomfortable situation.

fixture, you know, once the goals started coming and the team kind of properly hit its stride, eventually they got to a stage where it was never really in doubt.
