A remarkable opening day victory at Pittodrie is dissected.
M- um, Martin, the team lineup, um, for the, the game against Hearts this afternoon, um, or going into this evening, um, at Pittodrie, and probably from my perspective, the most notable thing, which was pretty much always going to be the case unless there was a real selection out of left field, um, the starting 11 today an entirely different 11 from the starting 11 that started last season's Scottish Premiership campaign, um, against the same opposition at Tynecastle.
Um, and it really does just speak to what, um, an incredible turnover there has been at the club, um, since, uh, Jim Nastalin who was in charge 12 months ago to Steven Robinson now.
I mean, it, it speaks to how much of a shambles last season was, I suppose you would say as well.
Um, you know, um, I, I think even on the bench, I think it was only, what, I think it's only, what, Mitov and, um, Jack Milne, I think, who had even survived from that.
But yeah, just, it just is, it says everything about, you know, where we've, where we've gone since, um, since, you know, the, since 12 months ago.
Um, you know, I mean, obviously Chris Cadden was s- signed, um, you know, at the last minute, I suppose you would say.
I know it's yesterday, um, as we're recording, so, um, straight in, but when you're bringing in someone like that who, who the club have, you know, well, Robinson clearly has, you know, a, a g- an eye on and, you know, w- counts towards him.
Um, but, you know, I th- Cadden's like, you know, he's played a lot of games in his n- He's a really experienced player.
He's probably, he's probably exactly the type of player that you would say Steven Robinson likes, so, um, yeah, I did, I wasn't surprised to see him coming in.
Um, you know, yeah, every- I mean, everything else seems to kind of fall into, into place.
Um, you know, some of his, some of the summer signings are always going to be in there, you know, guys like Jo- um, Tony Jogan and Connor Ronan.
Um, but yeah, just, I mean, it, it's very interesting to see, um, where we've gone, but it's obvious- it's a fresh start, I suppose you would say.
Um, wasn't really, again, like I say, I wasn't shocked to, shocked with, with much of it, um, in the same way as, you know, you saw, you saw the Hearts team.
I suppose you say it's two teams who are, um, would you say, looking to, looking to kind of find their way under new managers with a, with a, a fairly big turnover of players.
Um, but, you know, you know, uh, we'll, we'll obviously we can come to that, you know, when we get to the talking about the actual game, you know.
