Hello and welcome to the Help Is Here podcast brought to you by the Beyond Compulsion Academy.

Today I'm going to be reading out a comment from one of our clients inside of the Beyond Compulsion Academy.

So what we do every week inside of BCA is we share a post which is really... us choosing to be quite honest brave courageous and expose the addictive part of the mind so inside of the beyond compulsion method what we're really focused on is understanding that there's this part of our minds that has these strategies and it's trying to get us to relapse and it's going to say all kinds of bullshit and if we can expose that part of our minds without being scared of it And if we can actually see that its thought patterns are complete nonsense and it just has one intention to try and get us to relapse, and then we go and do the work and actually correcting those thought patterns, we're going to gain a lot of freedom, a lot of peace of mind, and we're going to be able to stop engaging in compulsive behaviours.

So anytime we have a junkie thought, which is like any rationalisation, excuse to really engage in that compulsive behaviour, we see that as, okay, yeah, that's just the addictive part of the mind, talking.

You realize like, yeah, there's a part of your mind that's going to try to engage, but there's nothing to be scared of here.

And here's one comment, which I thought would actually be quite useful for other people listening, even if you're not inside of BCA right now.

Now, of course, this is a junkie thought, and then I'll get into the correction afterwards.
