Yeah, I mean, it's exactly what you're saying.

So we were going through these different experiences and working in, you know, these different con- conflict zones.

And when we were in Indonesia, in Indonesia, it, that was even probably more frightening because the government collapsed.

And to be in a country where in 24 hours there's no order, the police are gone, the military's gone, the government's gone, and it's just mass looting and rioting, um, that was probably more frightening because we, everyone knew it was gonna happen.

And then so we were asking the Lord, c- and, and all the expatriates left the country immediately.

Mm-hmm.

Fled-

Yeah

...

in 24 hours.

Oh my gosh, they got out of there as-

[laughs]

And so we were asking the Lord, like, "Do you want us to stay or go?" Because our Muslim neighbors were looking at us like, "You guys talk about God all the time and how you trust him.

What do you do in this kind of situation?"

Mm-hmm.

'Cause the rest of the Americans are long gone now.

[laughs] Um, and we really felt like the Lord was inviting us to stay through it.

Mm.

Um, and so again, it's, it's n- you know, just working through that process of, "Okay, okay, we're gonna stay.

Okay, what does that mean?" And so it's not crazy.

It's just like, "Okay, so we got a plan." And so we taught our kids how to evacuate the house at night, if we got separated from them, what rice fields to go through to meet at a certain location.

Same thing, we made it into this giant game.

But when it did collapse and it r- and it happened, and the looting started, and the, you know, the, all of that, um, it's like it, you, you kind of get down to what do you really believe about God? Like, what do you really believe? What, not what do you say, what do you actually believe about God?

Our, our neighbors didn't have the option to leave.
