Alhamdulillahi wassalatu wassalamu ala Rasulillahi wa ala alihi wa ashabihi ajma'in.
We are, uh, I think this is session number 15, so we are quite a ways away into the, the series.
We spent a lot of time last week talking about, uh, the pre-Revelation moments.
You know, we talked about childhood, we talked about adolescence, and pre-teen and teenagers.
Uh, and now we've, you know, gone through his 30s and we are at the stage now where he is, uh, has been doing this act of tahannuth.
Tahannuth, we defined it, it's the Arabic word for reflective, uh, meditative, um, seclusion, where a person removes themself from whatever context that they find themselves in, like work or even sometimes family, and they just, they, they, they take themselves and they just take themselves away from those things and they spend time reflecting.
Now, the Prophet 'Alayhi Salatu Salam, peace be upon him, he was reflecting on the status of the society that he lived in, and we talked about this last week.
We said, like, he simply just could not, uh, be okay with the fact that things in his community were not good, right? Whether it was the way that people were treated or whether it was the way that the morals were decaying, it bothered him, right? And he wasn't okay with people being mistreated, he wasn't okay with injustice existing, and he also wasn't okay with the true human essence of connecting to the creator.
He also was not okay with that being, uh, uh, forgotten either, right? So even though revelation had not come in the form of the Quran, there was still this understanding of, like, true connection to the creator and what a person, what that does to a person, how that changes their character.
It changes how they act, right? The reason why, at the end of the day, the reason why we do the right thing in a moment where we could get away with something else is because we know that one day we're gonna have to answer, and this is the right thing that my creator wants me to do, right? Even though I could get away with it, theoretically.
So he had all of these kind of reflective moments and what he did, again, in an attempt to strengthen and to kind of come up with solutions for his community and himself, his family, was he would spend time away in the cave of Hira, and he would reflect and he would spend that time reflecting.
