The days are getting shorter and the natural world is beginning its slow turn inward.

Those of us in the Northern Hemisphere are approaching the autumn equinox, that beautiful moment of balance before we begin our descent into the darker half of the year.

Meanwhile, our sisters in the Southern Hemisphere are beginning their return.

No wonder Persephone came knocking on the door of the here her sister had this month.

Her story continues to be such a potent mirror for me, reminding me that I can be the woman who has walked intimately in the underworld and the woman who picks flowers in the meadow.

We lose pieces of ourselves, discover parts we didn't know were there, and somehow begin again and again and again and again.

There is something so powerful about pausing at these seasonal thresholds long enough to actually notice where you've been before you rush to what's next, to honor the ending before you race into the beginning, to honor what the past season held for you, to lay down what you don't want to carry forward into the new season.

create space to dream into your desires for the new season ahead and maybe plant a few seeds for what's becoming.
