I took a Caribbean vacation with just my hubby when my baby boy was 8 months old, and I had a LOT of feelings to process before the trip about the decision to leave him at home with grandma. Once we…
And so today's topic is one that I honestly meant to bring you a lot sooner.
So my husband and I, we took a trip, just the two of us, to the US Virgin Islands back at the end of January, basically early February.
And I had a lot of feelings about leaving him home to take this trip, like well before the trip when we booked it.
And so, yeah, a lot of feelings between then and when we actually took the trip.
And then of course, a lot of feelings during the trip in our time away from him.
And I just wanna be really open and honest about those feelings that I have.
I wanna have this conversation because this is one of the main things I see holding back moms from taking a vacation for years and years.
And taking a vacation in general and especially taking a vacation without the kids.
And just like last week's episode where I talked about how obsessed I am with girls trips, I am equally obsessed with any kind of trip where you do not take the kids.
And I hope that I don't come across as like saying like, you're gonna have better travel experiences if the kids don't come.
I think that, instilling a sense of travel and adventure in our kids is so amazing.
I'm so excited about a trip we do have planned with baby boy coming up later this summer.
So anyways, I intended, and I think I even mentioned it on the show, but I intended to bring you this topic a couple of weeks after we got back, like kind of fresh after we were back.
