How often are you taking a vacation these days? Have you settled into a routine of one or two trips a year? How do you feel about that? I have always been good at taking consistent vacations, but…
Or maybe you travel abroad a few times a year right now, but you want to travel somewhere every single month.
But I had realized that prior to about a year or so ago, my normal vacation frequency was I would take one international trip per year and I'd take one trip out of state, and then I would take one to three or so long weekend trips around Texas.
And I was really good and really consistent at doing that every single year.
It was just kind of understood that I'm gonna go out of the country every single year, I'm gonna go out of the state every year, and then we're gonna have some fun in Texas.
And when I was really honest with myself, I realized that I really wanted to take a vacation six times a year.
the two biggest trips plus two or three smallest trips every year super consistently, but six, that just seemed super stretchy.
But a really important distinction for me was that I knew I didn't want to be traveling abroad six times a year.
I mean, I didn't want to be taking a 10-day trip across the pond like every 60 days.
That honestly, that sounds exhausting to me and not a match for my lifestyle and my work life routine at all.
But I knew I wanted to be sure to go somewhere other than my home every other month because those times in between vacations, like I could start to detect myself needing that reset and that break and that being able to step away from my career and my life and my home to get that rejuvenation.
So back when I was doing two bigger trips a year, I would start to detect that feeling like, Every four months or so, I'd be like, OK, it is time for a vacation.
But now I guess my tolerance has lessened because now I feel that about every two months.
