I want more adventure for you. But the way to have more adventures is not necessarily to go hike a mountain, rappel down a waterfall, or solo backpack through Europe. It's less about the activities…
And if you've been a listener for a while, you probably have heard me use the word adventure or adventurous to describe a lot of my personal vacation goals.
Like anytime I'm like, what do I wanna get out of this next vacation? Well, I wanna feel adventurous is a lot of times what I want, not all the time.
And because I'm a lover of, nature and wildlife and the outdoors, when I think about adventures, I usually envision being outdoors and climbing mountains and wildlife encounters and stuff like that.
I mean, I serve so many women with different travel styles in designing custom vacation experiences for them and their unique travel style.
And so just because a client isn't into nature and the outdoors doesn't mean she isn't gonna have an adventure too.
And so having adventures in your life, I think that's directly related to your attitude and your mindset as you approach certain experiences.
Because I mean, two people could have the same exact experience and one person could be like, oh my gosh, that was a living hell.
And the other could be like, what an adventure, right? So if you've been feeling a little out of touch with adventuring, or maybe you've never really felt adventurous in your life, or you've never had a true adventure, I wanna give you some perspective on how to get in the right headspace and adopt that adventure attitude.
And I'm mainly gonna be talking through this through the lens of a vacation, but really, I mean, this stuff applies across our lives too.
So to learn how to adopt this adventure attitude, I think the main conversation we have to have is about this one key thing that I believe holds us back from having adventures and having that adventure attitude.
So whether on a vacation or just in your normal day-to-day, if you're someone that tends to have perfectionist tendencies, like myself, I'm raising my hand here, but if that is you, you're likely someone that comes up with these master plans and visions for how you want it to go, it being your vacation or some particular event or thing in your life.
And so the opportunity for embracing adventure instead of perfectionism, a lot of times that shows up when something has gone wrong or something hasn't gone according to your perfect master plan.
So maybe your flight was canceled or maybe the entire airport was evacuated, which happened to me last year, super fun.
