Yeah, I think when you're talking about holding yourself accountable, I think that's one of the things that People find very difficult in a very noisy world at the moment.

Things were kind of a little bit simpler back then, right? You had a phone and you picked up the phone and you got on the phone and you did the calling and you did the cold calls.

And there was no LinkedIn and I mean, even email back when it was 87, there was no email.

Maybe I kind of pictured you the car phone perhaps back in those days, but that was probably about as good as it got, right? Yeah.

And for me as well, early 90s, I was probably a little bit older, a little bit younger than you.

I remember my mentor saying to me, get inside there, go and make friends with the people who pay the bills, go and make friends with the people who make the decisions, go and make friends with the senior folks.

every day almost if you can, be in there, be helpful, and the orders will start flowing.

And I think that's one thing, you're looking after the existing customer, then it's how do you make sure you keep prospecting for new customers.

And back then I was looking after those folks that I was seeing every day, but I think it was typically asking, who else do you know in the industry who'd be interested in can help you and kind of making the connections, but it was very much belly to belly on the phone.
There's so much vying for our attention, whether you're a small business owner, medium-sized business owner.
We can insert titles that are applicable, but there's so much vying for our attention.
