The conversation covers the excitement of the events, including the bike event and the forward roll, backward roll event. It also delves into programming insights and the future of the competition…
Cam GrayGuestTysonHostWith the, even though the Games is a little bit back, you've obviously got, like, all of the content that's still now being, like, drip-fed.
So like, all of the behind the scenes and, like, Dave's done his, like, uh, like the insight into, like, the programming and stuff like that.
And it was, like, interesting being there, 'cause it was-- there was a few events on paper that I was, like, not sure how it would play out.
But being there in person and, like, I don't know what it was like watching it on the stream, but, like, the bike event and the forward-backward roll event in person was, like, actually insane [chuckles] to, like, be there and watch.
Yeah, and-
For sure.
Like, I was there with, uh, Mark, like, uh...
And it was pretty cool, 'cause, like, it was me and him, and it was like I was getting his insight into not only, like, you know, ways that he'd obviously helped, like, some of the boys prepare in terms of, like, they were all signing up to, like, local riding clubs and, you know, to, like, build comfort with, like, being, you know, close in a pack and, like, building the, like, drafting mechanics and things like that.
But also just to get his essentially, like, narration of the event.
[chuckles] And out of all of the people that you could sort of stand next to in an event like that, he was, like, easily one of, like, the coolest ones to listen to.
But, like, we sorta started off, like, just, like, watching it through, and we knew, like, the times would get faster obviously as, like, the, the ground started to wear down.
But also, like, the wind would change between, like, heats too.
So even, like, some of the, the top heat-
... for the men, I think, I think that was one of the factors.
I remember actually hearing George say on the pod that he did with you, he said he was surprised, I think, on the gap between the times.
Um-
It's when like it wasn't...
Yeah.
