What Are We Going to Do Forever in Heaven?

In 1971, John Lennon wrote a song, a famous song called Imagine.

And the lyrics go as follows.

Imagine there's no heaven.

It's easy if you try.

No hell below us, above us only sky.

Imagine all the people living for today.

A few years later, David Byrne wrote a song called Heaven.

In it, he has a refrain, Oh heaven, heaven is a place where nothing, nothing ever happens.

In 1986, Andy Partridge released a song called Dear God.

It's his open letter to God where he writes, as he sings, I won't believe in heaven and hell, no saints, no sinners, no devil as well, no pearly gates, no thorny crown.

Just a few years ago, Aldous Harding released a song called Heaven is Empty.

And she sings, heaven is empty.

Nobody's there.

I brought my camera.

It stayed in its bag.

I don't want entry.

That place is empty.

Of course, there are other people who mock the concept of heaven or at least pervert the concept of heaven by claiming to have gone there.

It was five years ago that Gabriel Perrault was riding his electric skateboard and And he hit a bump on the road and he fell head first and he was in a coma for 18 days.

As he comes out of the coma, he describes that in those 18 days, he went to heaven.

And when he arrived in heaven, he saw mountains and trees and leaves and all of them saying, worthy is the lamb.

He saw cities and downtowns and he saw monuments and libraries and one of the libraries had his name on it.

And in it were the plans that God had prepared for his life.

He saw Jesus.

And Jesus, in his wounds, had Gabriel's name written on them.
