[clears throat] Yeah, I mean, I feel like on our season premiere show, I tried to temper the weekend-

... [clears throat] 'cause we knew that Michigan Tech was gonna be a very difficult test for the Gophers in the first weekend.

And I heard some people were a little miffed at my saying, you know, if Mooney's not 100% healthy-

I meant if Mooney's not healthy, there's no sense playing him in this series if it's gonna hold him back for the first half of the year.

... he's gonna be critical to them, I think, being an effective, uh, special teams group on the power play.

I, I think against Michigan Tech, it was one of those things where Wyatt Cullen, you know, as much as he grew during camp and looked comfortable by the end of camp, he did not look very comfortable at, uh- Michigan Tech this last weekend.

You know, he just didn't quite have it, you know, couldn't have the, the puck confidence.

And I think one of the things was you played Michigan Tech, older, heavier team, very experienced, very subtle with their clutch and grab behavior throughout the weekend, and it just was something where Minnesota couldn't, you know, get their feet going and, and get a lead a- and play that kind of style of game.

[clears throat] And the other thing that stood out to me is that there were a lot of possession opportunities for the Gophers where they are one and done.

... yep, it g- it gets frozen, or they miss wide, and they start the breakout for the other team, and then you're playing defense again.

[clears throat] And I think sometimes as a Gopher team, you need to have the discipline to win second chances, and that allows you to put a little bit of pressure on the other team.
