David is "teaching" Christine how to be married, Meri and Ron "go all the way" down the river, and Janelle is done with the pretty boy type

Janelle says it's the first time that they've gotten together since Christine had them over to tell them that she was leaving the family.

I assume they would have seen each other also at Janelle's son Garrison's funeral, but I'm guessing that means they didn't actually speak to each other.

But right before Mary walks in, we see Christine say, I'm here for a purpose, not to hang out or socialize, but to see and get these pictures that I haven't seen.

That did feel like a little unnecessarily rude to me when I feel like she's already been kind of rude to Mary, but I don't know.

I was like, does this mean that this didn't go well? However, everyone seems like in a really good mood.

Janelle said that her kids are really excited because she really didn't take any pictures.

And Mary does let them know, you know, I only have a certain age range because, you know, everybody was so over the pictures.

Christine has like phases of their lives where she has pictures and then some where there's none.

Mary's just like in disbelief that apparently Christine doesn't have any baby pictures of Isabel.

It feels like they can't have like a single conversation without some sort of like passive aggression sort of shining through.

I wholeheartedly blame Cody for all of that, for you to take on so many wives when you can't afford to.

And like, there's always somebody who's, you know, treated as lesser than or missing out.

Mary tells us how, you know, pictures have always been so important to her ever since like she got a camera in high school yearbook.

She says that she was 12, which feels young for high school, but yeah, they're laughing at these pictures of the kids in these outfits that they made out of curtains.

I'm glad she shared that story because that's actually really cute if like that's why they were doing it because my initial reaction was like, this reminds me how much they've probably downplayed a lot on this show the level of poverty that they were in you know before they got the show like i wouldn't be surprised if they were making clothes out of all kinds of different objects because of the amount of kids that they had so all throughout this episode is like them showing old pictures a lot of them with cody janelle talking about how the kids were the center of his universe back then you know they all think he was just this great dad I just feel like surely by now one of them knows that like Cody is a narcissist and the reason that he like loved the kids back then was because the kids worshipped him and he was the center of their universe.

Mary tells us that seeing Janelle and Christine actually makes her realize that she still has a lot of work to do on herself.
