This week on “Good Ideas + Bad Decisions,” Kat and Ellen talk to Frenchie Ferenczi, a business strategist who's built a career out of doing a little bit of everything from hospitality, startups…
I feel like I could talk about this all day, but I guess maybe we should bring it back up to business a little bit.
Yeah, I was going to ask how... like the ecosystem of your business and and like I guess maybe share how um a typical week looks like for you like who are you working for and when and you know how much of your attention goes to what bucket
yeah so it's interesting because it has changed a lot um over time um As of late, I have one primary fractional client that I spend probably 60% of my time with, maybe even more than that, probably 70%.
But I got there by starting at like 10% with them and then building it because I like the team.
And I think this speaks to like what I said earlier around portfolio careers, right? Like this idea that like I can have a wide range of clients and the people who I like working with best, I can like expand my scope, have an impact and then move on to the next thing is super exciting
to
And then right now I want to say I have five or six advisory clients who I fit in kind of around that, who I meet with for like an hour a week to go through whatever it is that they're working on and to help them mostly.
Like I used to do more execution work for my advisory clients and I'm like, no, I have one kind of like big execution role.
um and so then i fit them in and then i'm also just doing like texting and calling with those clients in the in the in-betweens um and then i try and then i do shows at night not every night um but i would say that's generally the split right now um and then i'm always carving out i would say like two to three hours a week usually on fridays to do like maintenance work.
So everything from like, yeah, like working on the business, newsletters, content, things like that.
