But, and this is amazing, things have gotten a lot busier behind the scenes at Golden State Naturalist over the past few years.

I'm speaking more, collaborating on some yet-to-be-announced projects, and working on a piece of writing that I think might turn into a book, all while still heading out into the field for interviews across the state.

All of this, plus focusing more on the quality of writing for the podcast, means that the every other week schedule isn't one I can keep up with anymore.

The good news, though, is that the annual episode count will stay about the same.

That's because instead of releasing episodes every other week and then taking an extended break between seasons, I'm going to release episodes once a month and take much shorter season breaks.

But also know that if it's not on the exact day, it's because I'm not willing to let an episode go out before I feel really good about it, and maybe a little bit more research or editing or fact-checking is still needed.
