How many Glow Shakes should you actually have a day? What should you eat alongside them? And if you’re doing everything right, why might the scales still not be moving? In this episode of Glow Talk…
Millie PadulaHostEmmaGuestOnce customers started on their Glow Shakes routine, the next question we start to get is what else should they be eating for the day?

Yeah, we see this all the time and it's understandable why people might be sort of thinking that.

But, you know, the way I look at it and I sort of said it to you before is the Glow Shakes should be used as a supportive tool to our weight loss or our health journey.

And I like to think of it as like a tool in the toolbox that we can almost like refer to.

if we need, but you've got your glow shakes, whether you choose one or two to have every single day, what we want is a really well-rounded, nutritious and balanced diet to accompany the glow shakes.

And we actually find that the results are much better for individuals who do have a really healthy balanced diet.

So I feel like we talk a lot about whole foods and that would be my suggestion is to build a diet around whole foods.

So meat, chicken, fish, lentils, legumes, dairy foods, lots of fruits and vegetables as well.

So thinking about all those colorful plant foods, they're really high in fiber, which also helps to keep us fuller for longer, which can be really helpful in a weight loss journey.

We also want nutritious and whole grain low GI sources of carbohydrates as our energy source and things like healthy fats so avocado olive oil nuts and seeds all of those should form the main component of a healthy and balanced diet we don't need to be you know overly restrictive and cut out every single food that we enjoy or you know I know that we get a lot of questions and I'm sure you see this pop up in
you know, in

And as I said before, it all comes down to your calorie deficit, if that is, if weight loss is your goal, and you can still include those foods and maintain a calorie deficit.

And I always find in my years of practice that individuals who do include those little bits of, I call them soul foods, they do have better results because they're not feeling restricted or it helps to combat that sort of all or nothing approach with, I don't want to say dieting, but when you are following a more strict sort of dietary regime.

So I think lots of whole foods make room for some soul foods and keep hydrated as well.
Yeah, that's really helpful to hear, Millie.
