Legendary pastrami, hidden thrift shop gold, and comedy clubs- Epi 41

So, we got people joining.

You know, Kellen, you just spent some time in New York.

Was that a work? trip

or got a marketing partner that loves Jesus known him for like five years and his dad just sold his company and he's on the board of a homeless ministry down there that brings people to community safe housing introduces him to Jesus and so we went down there for that banquet but I took Tara for a couple days I hadn't been to New York she wanted to go and I was like well let's go explore New York and so we did and like I told that my takeaway is if you're in New York you have to have a pastrami sandwich It's insanely good.

I've never had a sandwich this good.

So warm.

The meat tasted better than a steak.

It was incredible.

The cool thing about New York, just out of sheer size and diversity, you can walk in almost any direction and get pretty good food in general.

You know what I mean? It's likely going to be coming out of a window or in one of the trucks or whatever, which clearly you kind of got to watch out for.

I've always had a good experience with it.

I'll tell you, the two things that I love to do as it pertains to Chicago and New York in general is comedy clubs, but the hole in the walls.

And the big ones are fine, too.

The commercialized, they're okay.

I mean, a lot of comics go through there, but these little hole in the walls...

They're hilarious, dude.

Yeah,

super funny.

They hold 60 people.

You have to buy three drinks, period.

And here's the thing.

People are like, well, they can't make me do it.

They can because it's included in the ticket price.
