Did you know that no matter what you do, you're always choosing between two types of discomfort? In this episode, recorded straight from my car before work, I'm sharing the idea that went viral on…
So nobody ever moved forward in life by remaining comfortable all the time, right? So the extreme for this would be you get up, you sit on the couch, you watch TV and you eat Cheez-Its or cake or You just sit, you're in comfort all the time, right? You never do anything uncomfortable.
And then you can imagine, okay, what kind of life is that going to give me in the end? Like, I never do anything I don't want to do.
I don't think it's probably anybody listening to this podcast, but it kind of puts things into perspective, right? And then you've got the people who are on the other side.
They're just like, what is the next most uncomfortable thing that we can do? And they are going to move ahead really fast.
And they're probably the people that you see who are really successful in the world.
Now, most of us are in the middle, right? We do some uncomfortable things and some comfortable things.
And the work that I've been doing is just getting myself to do more uncomfortable things more often.
And by doing that, I realized that I can overcome my brain that doesn't want to do it.
And every time I overcome my brain... that doesn't want to do it, it gets easier and I even start to enjoy it.
And these days in my workouts now, it's been three, probably three years that I've been lifting weights consistently.
