On this ep they touched what they've been up to over the preseason, what's going on between the four walls, they caught up with the guys from The Cats Corner Podcast and looked ahead to the clubs…
Um, obviously it's been well documented, we've had a new head coach come into the building, Mick Stinner, and he's made a great impact on the group.
And you know, obviously we've got round one this weekend.
Super excited to be pulling on the hoops under him for the first time officially.
Um, also the likes of Sammy Simpson jumping on board as an assistant coach, and W- Ryan Pendlebury as well, um, coming underneath us, with Flynny returning of course, um, as our forward line coach.
It's been a great dynamic between those, um, four, and I'd, I'd like to hear your guys' thoughts around how that's been going in the pre-season and what they've brought to the team, for sure.
Yeah, I think they've just brought this buzz and this energy and it's, um, it's been a, so much fun, but also driving standards and, um, that the whole playing group has really bought into.
And, um, yeah, I'm loving the energy between all of them.
They're kind of like little brothers and sisters- Yeah.
[laughs] ... with Flynny as well.
Mm.
Um, lots of banter and things, but I think that's what makes our program so fun, yet they're so supportive all the time, and nothing is too much for them ever, and they just go above and beyond all the time.
So yeah, it's been such a fun energy.
Isn't it nice to have just such a, a, like, balance? Um, I think that's their greatest strength.
So they've got the emotional intelligence and that, um, ability to connect with us all.
Um, meanwhile, you know, we know what the standards are.
We know that we need to bring our best, and when it's time to switch on, we- we're fully switched on.
And them allowing that fluency of balance between, you know, those two spaces has been something that's, I think, has just fostered amongst the group.
Mm.
And then it's, it's really clear.
I think that the clarity around messaging has been super clear of when you know you can dive into a little bit here, a little bit there, then you add that to an on-field perspective, we know exactly, um, what our game plan is.

Yeah.
And speaking of on-field stuff, like, it's been great to see the development across the board of the younger girls coming in, and some of our mature players as well, but it's been great to see the training standards lift.
Yeah.
And then across the practice matches, some standouts, you know, um, the likes of Bowie, she was unbelievable against Brisbane.
