gay pop culture moments that keep me up at night

The first moment I want to talk about

is Pink's fake coming out.

I don't care how much this is talked about.

It is still one of the funniest things that has ever happened to gay culture and gay society.

So Pink actually said this over 15 years ago, 16 years ago, might I add, during the 2010 HRC National Dinner while accepting the Ally for Equality Award, which is pretty ironic that it's the Ally Award because she comes out and then takes it back.

It's so fucking crazy.

What do you mean she took it back? Now, the only thing I will say before I get into what she said, because actually, I don't think many people have heard her whole speech about this, which makes it a little bit better.

And there's some annoying people out there that are like, guys, it's actually good for us that she did this and she was trying to help.

I will partially agree with that.

even though I think that's really fucking annoying.

Only because it was 2010.

If it was 2015 and on, shut the fuck up.

And don't center yourself, ally.

However, I see what she was trying to do because in 2010, we didn't have many gay allies.

But if you were unaware of the situation and you live under a rock, pretty much she's accepting an award and she pauses and says, I'm gay.

And then everyone's like, ah! What? Just like this shirt.

I'm gay.

And then she goes, actually, I'm not.

Like what? Again, she would get reamed for this if this was present day.

I'm gay.

Actually, I'm not, but that doesn't actually matter.

She says, actually, I'm not, but that doesn't matter.

My point is, I would like in the world the same boring response that I get from, hi, I'm a Virgo.

I would like from, hi, I'm gay, to elicit the same kind of response.

Or like, yeah, like, okay, great.
