Josh and Bryan are back to overanalyze and overanalogize the Survivor 51's premiere, and everything from any previous FUPASU podcast has the potential…
Josh KettlesHostBryan ToresiHostNo, I, I, um, it kind of, yeah, we're bringing back some of the old, uh, the new era is over by the way, Josh, we're now in the open era.
I don't necessarily have a huge problem with, but it's, or it didn't have that much of a problem with in the forties, but it's nice to see variety.
Um, we have this very weird, uh, switch on the prize money um yeah coin flips that roll over every every season uh which is uh a choice um i know they're trying to capitalize on the on the mr beast uh all that all that fun stuff but um I just I would rather them all just, you know, get two million every time.
I don't want I don't want to deal with the inevitable or it's not inevitable, but it could happen.
It felt different from a lot of past premieres, mainly because of the structures in place.
And you know what? Permanent uncertainty? We can talk about how we feel about that.
Maybe it cuts down on the level of, you know, I prepared three years doing puzzles in my garage for as a full time job to before I came out here, that kind of gameplay.
But there might also be some downsides to where people don't know don't know maybe how to best operate and then play it safe in the midst of something very chaotic.
It remains to be seen what it actually means for production to live out those words of permanent uncertainty.
