From Classics to Comebacks Episode 3: The best prison films

So I'll start with obviously Silence of the Lambs, which is obviously most of the film.

Hannibal Lecter is in jail or in the hands of police.

And just such an interesting film.

Obviously Oscar winning performances for Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins.

Yeah, really scary portrayal of Hannibal Lecter and just an incredible film.

I love the script of it.

I just love the direction.

Silence of the Lambs is just a classic.

And then, obviously, it's set in a mental institute, but Shutter Island I would also class as a prison film.

Now, this is going to be a controversial opinion, and I know my friend Fraser really disagrees with this, but Shutter Island, I think, is one of Scorsese's best.

In my opinion, it probably is his best.

I'm not saying it's miles above because he has a bunch of really good films, but Shutter Island, I think, is...

My personal choice for Scorsese's most enjoyable film.

I think the plot twist is one of the best plot twists in film history.

I could just watch that film over and over again.

I love it so much.

It's just an absolute vibe.

It's good fun.

It's got great acting performances.

The twists and turns are really, really enjoyable.

I'm a big fan of Shutter Island.
