I hope that most of you will have heard that his son, Adam Wilkie, is taking on a monumental challenge to match his world record time next April, having not swam since he was 17 years old.
Adam is walking the footsteps of his dad as a way of honoring his memory and to raise 215,000 pounds for Sports Aid.
