The Miracle is in your Movement — Ps Harry Slade (TGA)

For all of the old people, don't worry, there is Bible in this message.

Don't worry, it's here.

Exodus chapter 14, verse 10.

The Bible says, Shut up.

Leave us alone, we said.

Let us be slaves to the Egyptians.

It's better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness.

Verse 13.

Verse 15 says, Then the Lord said to Moses, why are you crying out to Me? The miracle is in your movement.

The miracle is in your movement.

This is a crazy passage of Scripture.

For those of us who have watched The Prince of Egypt, we know exactly what's happening.

It's like...

I'll be honest, when I read the Bible story, I was really disappointed at the lack of singing in the story in Scripture.

I don't know what happened there, but...

It's missing.

In this passage of Scripture, it's crazy.

Moses and the Israelites have completed this amazing escape from Egypt, that they've seen 12 plagues from the Lord on the Egyptians that would have lasted four to five months, seeing God's manifest presence and glory, setting them free.

Now they're on the run.

They're running away to try and get to the Promised Land.

They find themselves here in this moment between a rock and a wet place.

They've got the Egyptians catching up to them and a sea in front of them that will not move.

And in this moment, the people do what people do, which is panic.

Egypt! Why? Why us? Why Moses? Why? And Moses, who is not the most confident leader, like if you know Moses' story, he argues with the manifest presence of God in a bush that doesn't burn up over and over and over again.

And God says, it's you, bro, it's you, bro, you.
