Prophetic Equip: Purity in the Prophetic — Grace Guneyi (TGA)

So we, we say imagine it like a pool.

There's a shallow end, there's a medium end, and there's a deep end.

And so the shallow end of the pool is the part of this that everybody should do.

Paul very clearly says in the New Testament, in 1 Corinthians, that, "I wish that you would all prophesy.

I wish all of you would prophesy." So every single one of us should be able to prophesy, and prophesy just means speak the word of the Lord.

Hear what God is saying and speak what God is saying.

So we're all in that part of the shallow part of the pool.

If you migrate a little bit deeper, uh, as far as I see it, an, an easy way to understand it is that w- we have what's called the gift of prophecy.

So we read about that in 1 Corinthians chapter 12.

It talks about different spiritual gifts.

One of those gifts is the gift of prophecy.

You have a gift that has been given to you by God.

We all have spiritual gifts.

Maybe you don't know this here tonight, but you have spiritual gifts.

There are gifts that God has given you, and they're listed in 1 Corinthians 12.

You know, they're the kinda things that sorta just, it's a little bit already who you are.

It's something that you've naturally been given, and it's not because of you.

You don't earn it.

You don't have to work for it.

It is a gift.

Okay? It's a gift.

It's from God to you.

And then deeper than that is what we call the office of a prophet, someone who is called by God to be a prophet.

Like we read about, the Bible says that the church is built on the foundations of the apostles and the pro- uh, prophets.

We see prophets in the New Testament.
