Episode 201 - You'll Go Far On The Back of a Potato

Uh, they are...

I think the statistic after Saturday's game was, it was their first time being a game over 500 since, like, March 28th when they were three and two.

Um, you know, just, just what we're seeing on both sides of the ball, our pitching is, they're pitching very well, um, and, and keeping the, the team in ballgames.

The home runs coming off the bat is just insane, you know.

I think there were six home runs in the Sacramento A's series, and then there was nine in the, uh, first series at home against the Diamondbacks.

So it's like, wow, man, where, where is this power coming from? We're seeing it up and down the lineup too.

I feel like everyone's kinda getting in there, and it's just, it's just fun to watch.

The one thing, and I'm sure we're gonna go over it, Bo, as we get further into this episode is, you know, the piggyback ended up working out.

[laughs] Now they've decided, "Eh, we're just gonna go to a six-man rotation."

Yeah.

And, uh, I wonder what that means for the future, right? 'Cause the Mariners, they're gonna start, um...

Yeah, I guess the piggyback doesn't, like, technically kick in until, uh, they go on the road, right? Or the-

... sorry, the, the whatever, the six-man rotation, I should say.

So I mean, they have a stretch of 10 games on the road, um, that I guess I, I, I can understand the piggyback being, I guess I, I can understand the six-man rotation being relevant at that time more often.

But, um, it still feels like they're kinda kicking the can down the road a little bit, um, and they're just kinda taking it week by week with this thing.

But, um, I don't know.

The piggyback has also, dare I say, worked pretty well.
