Episode 200 - We Are Up On Our Backs, Helpless, In Fact, But Slowly Moving

Uh, we're, we're gonna, we're gonna talk about some Mariners notes before we get into our weekly Mariners talk of how the week went.

But Bill, take the Mariners notes for me.

Yeah.

Uh, Matt Brash returned, um, from the 15-day IL.

Um, kind of struggled with a, with an oblique with his side.

Um, and then Victor Robles most recently came back.

Uh, we just saw him return to the lineup.

Conor Joe was subsequently optioned back to Tacoma.

I think this was the most probably anticipated or kind of understood based upon the way that the Mariners lineup was constructed right now or the roster was constructed, I should say.

Uh, Patrick Wisdom was activated from the 10-day IL, and Leo Rivas was optioned to, uh, to move down.

Um-

I, uh, the-

Do you wanna rub this in my face here? Yeah.

Do, do, do you gotta kinda eat your words here? I, I swear, every time something like this happens, Bill and I have a c- discussion about it.

Yeah.

Like the day before.

Or it's, we shoot an episode and then the day after we drop the episode, this happens.

But Bill was telling me, "There's no way Leo Rivas gets optioned." Um, you know, he's the only one that can play basically three of the four infield positions.

Um, I think at one time i- it was known that he's the backup emergency catcher too, if need be.

So Bill was very set on Leo Rivas not being optioned, and here we are, like a day after we talked about it, he was optioned.

So I don't wanna rub it in your face as much as I feel like we've got like a sixth sense about this stuff sometimes.
