Let's start with a little bit of imagination.
First, close your eyes.
Okay, maybe not, since you're reading, but relax in your best imagination position.
We are going to imagine your future.
before you get too excited we aren't going to imagine your high school graduation your wedding day or your future career or children think a lot further than that past becoming a grandparent past becoming a great grandparent and even further let's imagine that today is your funeral imagine now don't freak out i'm not trying to get too morbid just picture a day after you've lived a long and full life when people are gathered together to celebrate your life there's a big picture up front of your cute crinkled elderly face Lots of family members and friends are there.
They talk about the kind of person you were, the difference you made, and the good you did.
The things people will remember about you then really come down to the choices you make now and throughout the rest of your life.
Will people eulogize about how much you loved God, about how many people you helped, about your love for each of them? Or will they struggle to find things to say? i imagine people won't focus on how much money you had what parties you were invited to or how many followers you had on social media hopefully you will be remembered as someone who fought a good fight finished the course kept the faith and who loved god and others along with many other good things reflect what do you think your loved ones would say about you right now what do you hope your loved ones will remember about you after you're gone what seems important in your life now that might not be so important after this life What do you imagine Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ think about the life you are choosing to live? Plan.
What are you going to work on now to help you live the life you and Heavenly Father want you to live now and eternally? do.
Good news, you're still alive.
Now it's time to do, to focus on what matters most and keep striving to become the person you want to be.
Don't get discouraged when you don't do it perfectly.
Because of the Savior, you can try and try again.
So strive to repent and improve each day.
Be kind to others, whether they'll come to your funeral or not.
The decisions you make right now will affect the rest of your life, and your eternity too.
Live so that when you do pass from this life, or the Savior comes again, the Lord may say to you, "'Well done, good and faithful servant.
Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.' Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
