Take action before your body starts to hurt. In this episode, Ashley and John explore prevention, body awareness, and daily habits that help prevent bigger problems. They liken caring for your body to…
It's an interesting concept because we all fall into this, but don't wait until your body hurts before you take action to be healthier.
And the power of prevention and movement and just listening to your body and picking up the signs.
And we're all so busy and we often don't take the time, say, oh, I'll just work through it or this will go away.
But it's the idea of just taking care of what's going on and listening to your body.
And if you think about this, the things we're going to go through this morning, I kind of equate it.
We all have one of these in the glove compartment of our vehicle, more than likely.
It's an owner's manual, and it tells you what you need to do, when you need to do it, all that sort of thing.
But how often do we not think about our bodies as that vehicle we depend on so much? And so we're going to be looking at some things that you can consider to make sure that you're being ahead of the things, you're doing the normal maintenance and care that you need to have for your body.
How often have we had, say, a lower back pain? And it involved muscles and joints and things like that, but it may be just how you've done some things or how you've lifted some things.
I think one of the biggest things about this whole part of it is, we talked about this before, is just awareness.
I read something the other day about, like, don't wait until your body screams at you before you decide to do something about it.
Are you getting enough sleep? Did you have a rough day? Whatever it is that's got you triggered, pay attention to what that is so that we can adjust that part too.
