WELCOME TO EPISODE 150 of the Flavors of Northwest Arkansas podcast!!! We’re spending it at the legendary Bordinos in Fayetteville talking with co-owner Molly Allison and they’re celebrating Bordinos…
Molly AllisonGuestThe BLT is a fan favorite as well, 'cause, I mean, you can't go wrong with a BLT.
Mm-hmm
Yes.
He, he is.
He's actually, uh...
Again, we did a lot of research when we developed this menu and came up with the names and stuff.
Bert L. Taylor is the creator of the BLT.
I am not lying.
I swear.
Okay, we got it.
And, uh, one day, when, uh, the cook from the, the grill, he called sick.
And, uh, the manager was going crazy looking for somebody to cover that shift.
And, uh, and I ask him, I'm like, "Hey, I can do it." And he's like, "You've only been here for two months.
Can you really do it?" And it was a really busy restaurant.
And I, "Yeah, I'll do it." So he gave me a chance, and, uh, the next day, when the other guy came back, he was doing dishes and I was on the grill.
[laughs]
Every year we wanna do our anniversary barley wine.
It's a fantastic recipe.
I, I, I loved it.
I drank it way too fast-
... last time I made it.
But, um, I wanna pull, you know, 10 to 15 gallons off and make the Four Horsemen, which is gonna include every pepper we use.
And, uh, may or may not include a waiver.
[laughs]
