Both teams were in good form.
The last time the two teams met six years ago, neither were able to find the net in what was a bruising nil-nil encounter.
But given that Porto had scored in their previous ten matches ahead of this game, and the citizens were in fine goal-scoring form of their own, there appeared to be little chance that this one would end goalless.
