Chubby was buzzing one day in the dirt.
He heard someone moan.
Please help me, I'm hurt.
Before his bee eyes was a wasp looking sad.
The wasp had been beaten, beaten real bad.
Chubby's first thought was,
Quick, buzz away.
It's a wasp.
We don't like them,
all bees would say.
But now here's a wasp, and he's nice, so it seems.
What happened? buzzed Chubby.
Who knocked you down? Was it a tree that knocked you to the ground? Were you not looking? Is that why you're hurt?
he asked the sad wasp, all covered in dirt.
I was flying,
the wasp moaned painfully.
When a bird swooping down bumped into me and sent me tumbling onto the ground, here I've been waiting, praying to be found.
I just buzzed by,
Chubby said,
so I stopped.
The wasp answered Chubby.
I thought bees were dumb.
They just make honey.
