So we had 20 lead changes amongst 13 drivers.
We had seven caution flags for a total of 11 laps.
And 11 laps at Naval Base Coronado is a lot.
The distance in itself, we carried about three and a half hours worth of time over a 75 lap period covering 255 miles total with this modified track, which everybody kind of leading into Sunday was saying based on the Friday and Saturday, the Sunday race is going to go six plus hours because of the way that NASCAR racing typically is.
But I think what the cup drivers did, what they showed, you know, Friday and Saturday members was this is why we're the cup series is because we're primetime in lieu of home time.
Right.
But The Cup drivers showed you don't need to run each other over and try to win it in turn one, as a lot of iRacing folks like to say.
But the Cup drivers definitely stood out as... know how they could time their passes how they can set up their corners how they can challenge the braking zones and essentially be able to charge runs on the cars in front of them i mean we saw double digit passing numbers for a lot of the different teams and some people were a little worried about how narrow the track was in certain places and that they wouldn't be able to you know that they wouldn't be able to capture positions and points because of how the track was kind of configured.
But we saw throughout the broadcast that that was obviously not the case.
And there was definitely favored locations for passing.
And, you know, there was some give and take.
And I think the Cub drivers kind of set that tone after watching the chaos that ensued on Friday and Saturday.
But getting into the results a little bit.
So the overall race winner, Corey Heim, it's his first cup win.
This is his 13th cup start.
Unfortunately, he's ineligible for driver points, so there's nothing to capture there.
But, you know, it is Heim time, prime time, Corey Heim capturing the talking points for the race.
then our stage one winner was ryan blaney and then stage two winner was ryan priest and those guys kind of showed and favored some speed along with kyle larson and as well as the toyota 2311 drivers um for final results though uh and we'll talk about a couple of these guys later in the show uh second place bubble wallace third place kyle larson fourth place zane smith Fifth place, AJ Allmendinger.
Sixth place, Chris Buescher.
Seventh place, Ross Chastain, which is surprisingly.
Eighth place, Riley Herbst.
Ninth place, Ryan Blaney.
And tenth place, Michael McDowell.
That's your top ten picks.
Final results for the Andoril 250 at Naval Base Coronado.
