Have you ever worried that if you told people what you were experiencing, they might think you were crazy? In this episode, Tabs explores how the labels we hear growing up can quietly shape the way…
We're talking about labels, and I wanna say specifically labels that trigger fear within us, fear that we will be labeled that name if we explore our spirituality.
This is something that came up recently in a session with a mentee, but it's also something I've had come up in other sessions.
And when something shows up more than once, more than twice, more than three times, it's time to talk about it.
Now, this client of mine was exploring their intuition, their mediumship, their psychic information.
It was really beautiful to witness, uh, watch all of these events start to unfold through our mentorship, but there was something that we both witnessed and saw.
There was a fear that was holding them back from going deeper, from exploring further, and the fear that they had was being labeled crazy.
And as we talked about this, there was a memory of someone earlier in their family who, when they were younger, remember everyone calling them crazy.
They experienced things maybe that other people didn't understand in the family.
And instead of the family being curious about that person or listening to them, they instantly started to discredit them.
You don't necessarily consciously decide, "I'm never going to explore my intuition," but you learn something.
So years later, when your abilities begin to open up, you begin exploring more spiritual parts of your life, you could say, you remember that lesson, you remember that programming that you received early on, and then we see some resistance begin to show up in your spiritual journey, in your spiritual path.
I think we assume that people are afraid of developing their intuition because they're afraid of spirit.
Sometimes they are, but oftentimes, and I'm gonna say most often, I believe that it's the fear of what other people may think of them.
I, I see it as a real common thread amongst many developing mediums, developing intuitives, developing healers, energy workers, really any modality.
