As a team that has dedicated our lives to securing the Bitcoin held by millions of individuals, businesses, and families, this is our core responsibility, and we fell short.

But essentially, this tweet comes from the founder, who I suspect is fairly well known in the Bitcoin community, but the founder of a Bitcoin security wallet firm, whatever.

As a holder of Bitcoin or most cryptocurrencies, you have basically the keys to what's called a wallet, but that is like the spot in the ledger that shows that you own a certain amount of the currency.

and you have you have a cryptographic key to show that you are the legitimate owner of that one piece of currency and that can be a somewhat difficult kind of technological problem to navigate for a lot of people And so there are a lot of services that offer a way to sort of help people who aren't maybe as technically sort of educated or enlightened in the cryptocurrency realm to manage their ability to access and buy and sell cryptocurrency.

There are a number of ways in which you can handle sort of making that access easy versus secure versus what's the best word for it? Self-managed in a way, I think.

And so there are a lot of services that will... sort of manage your wallet for you.

And then you just log in to their front end and then you can see what's in your wallet.
