Inside the Wales camp: Craig Bellamy & Ethan Ampadu

We're here to talk about Wales versus Norway.

Yeah.

[laughs]

Um, and, uh, one of the, well, the probably the best goalscorer in the world at the moment.

Mm.

Uh, something for us to consider.

Um, yeah, two, two games, two different performances, two defeats.

Yeah.

Setting up a home two games now.

Uh, what, what are you expecting from Wales?

It's hard to tell because we were all a little bit buoyed, weren't we, by the performance against Portugal.

I think we were expecting the worst when you looked at their team sheet, and also the strength that they had on the bench.

Um, when you partner that with our disappointing summer and key players missing, we were pleasantly surprised with how difficult we were to break down at times against Portugal, and then it kind of felt like a, a Wales performance of old against Denmark.

What I will say, though, is-

What do you mean by that, a Wales performance of old?

Just where we don't look, um, we don't look defensively resilient.

We don't look like we're defending our box that well.

We're also not showing heaps of creativity anywhere else on the pitch.

We...

I wasn't sure whether the approach was to press at times or to stay in a low block at times.

We looked like we weren't on the same wavelength for, for large periods of the game, and I haven't seen that for a good while.

I ha- I don't think I've seen it under Bellamy, to be honest.

So, um, it was disappointing, but again, context is important.

Denmark are a very good team.

They actually really surprised me watching them live.
