But I think the damage to feminism has been horrendous over the last few years and there's definitely a war on women at the moment and feminism is seen as a dirty word.

And certainly, there's a lot of men that are like, oh my God, the matriarchy, are you going to come back and do to us what we've done to you for the last 4,000 years? But when I say to them, well, what would the world look like if the matriarchy in your family run it? And they usually get quite emotional because in a family, you know, the man is not more than the woman or the woman more than the man.

We're supposed to be working in combat with each other, not in combat with each other.

It's so interesting, isn't it, how people find it quite easy to imagine on that individual level.

But then when you blow it up to a societal level, straight away, there's that tension and that kind of misunderstanding.

And also, you know, as with a lot of female terms, they've been sort of given this sort of stereotype.

So, you know, the matriarch is the old woman that's, you know, making everybody fight against each other to get the inheritance, which is nothing could be further from the truth.

So why should a matriarch be a mother? As far as I'm concerned, a matriarch is the most senior woman in the room.
