So I was at the POTS conference in Adelaide last week, and that is really where clinicians and people with lived experience were meeting to discuss chronic complex illness that predominantly affects women and girls.
And that's everything from POTS, which is postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos hypermobility syndrome, And this is hugely underdiagnosed.
And these patients, like so many other things and conditions that predominantly or exclusively affect women and girls are missed, misdiagnosed and usually labelled as anxiety or the new trendy word for hysterical is functional.
