And for my fabulous over 50 women, protein becomes especially important because we're no longer just asking, how can I lose weight? We're asking, how can I lose fat while preserving and hopefully building muscle? We don't want smaller, weaker bodies.
Not only do carbs provide energy, but some of us get a little moody and cranky without carbs too.
It's the best of all worlds as you aren't restricted to only low carb eating, but you get some days to benefit from that strategy.
