Ep 1 - Cave Appreciation 101

Welcome into FaeFallQuest.

My name is Will and I'm your game master for today because nothing says episode one of a TTRPG actual play like a white man blabbering about what to expect ahead.

So here's what you can expect ahead.

It's an urban fantasy themed campaign that is genuinely role play focused.

Now I can say that with genuine confidence because we have a rules light system that we are using known as FateCore.

And while this is a family friendly channel, that does not mean that this is a kid show.

It'll be cuss free.

It'll be lighthearted with a comedy focus, but there will be some dark character moments sprinkled within.

Now,

before I ramble on for too much longer, let's go introduce you to my players and we can get things underway.

Welcome to FaeFallQuest, the show that couldn't roll in that one if we tried, namely because we don't have dice with numbers on them.

Instead, we have fate dice, also known as fudge dice.

So they just have a little plus, minus, and blanks on them.

And we roll four of these because we're using the fate core system.

So if you're wondering why, oh, you're saying that you only rolled like a four and that's somehow like a really good.

Yes, it rolls from a range of negative four to positive four.

And then there's your skill modifier that gets added on to that.

So, yeah, please don't be overly confused by the numbers and just just get hyped with us when we get hyped and you'll be fine.
