Postgame Reactions: State's Season Comes to an End in Athens

And, well, Charlie, you look back at this one, kind of like it was the entire weekend.

It was just – kind of a topsy-turvy ride, an emotional roller coaster, and the roller coaster didn't end up the way we wanted it to.

It's the same story, different verse.

And it is the same issue.

We're almost good enough to beat Georgia, but we're not quite.

And every day it's something different.

And, you know, I was walking back, and we talk about our text groups all the time.

Somebody said, well, I'm just not sure they're better than us.

I was like, well, if six didn't convince you, how many more we got to

play?

They're just that they're not a lot better than us.

They've just got something we have.

And there will be plenty of time for us to get together and do a postmortem on this season.

But one of the things is going to be the inability to win in tight ball games.

We were really, really good at times.

But in the one run games and the two run games, you know, it just felt like kind of today was the story of the season, a team that didn't quit.

There was not a single time I said this team laid down, but also a team that just at times could not get over the hump.
