So before I get into that, though, I just really wanted to quickly touch on one of the cases that we covered recently.
That's the case of Corey Richens.
And I know you don't remember, but this was the woman who poisoned her current husband, Eric, by giving him fentanyl in a drink that she served him.
Moscow Mule, I believe it was.
It was not the first time that she had attempted to kill Eric.
And then she ended up writing a book about the grieving process.
And she would write this with the help of her children.
And when she would go on Good Morning Utah to promote the book, they would get inundated with calls about how she was the number one suspect in the killing of Eric.
But she was finally sentenced just recently after being found guilty.
She is now going to be spending the rest of her life in jail without the possibility of parole.
And at her sentencing, her three sons would speak out at the time of the murder.
They were only nine, seven and five, which is very close to my own children's age.
And this was back in 2022.
So, you know, they're four years older now, but they were in the house when Eric died.
And it was noted that Corey refused to go in and check on them.
They were given the opportunity to speak through victim impact statements read through their therapists.

the middle child would be quoted as saying, I don't want you out of jail because I will not feel safe if you're out.
You have never said sorry for anything you have done to me and my brothers.
