We went and watched the, the eclipse recently, the lunar ecl- eclipse.
I say recently, it was like, you know, last month.
But it was awesome, and it made me feel like this is a time to kinda set my intentions and not just wait until the new year.
I actually did, um, my due diligence for my voting, 'cause it was time to vote this year, and I was very proud of myself for doing that.
And what I really liked was that, um, my friend had told me about this website that you could go onto, and you kind of answer all these different questions relating to the, the areas or the topics that you're, that the parties are kind of speaking on.
And you could give how you, like, your view based on pre-selected answers, um, or predetermined answers I should say, and then it would actually tell you, like, where it aligns.
Um, and then at the end, you would kind of see where you came out.
Um, and it was quite interesting 'cause for me, I didn't come out, like, as left as I thought I would, but then in actual fact, it did make sense, um, where I came more in the middle.
Uh, so that was very interesting, which meant that I was able to make a very informed decision when voting, which I know when I was younger, I was a lot more flippant about and was like, "Oh, how can tiny little me make a difference?" Well, the voting here was so close that it has re-instilled in me just how much of a difference one vote makes.
So every vote really does count.
So I was voting.
I've decided that I also really wanna get back into, um, broadening, uh, my Swedish language.
I, um, I think I've said this before as well, I feel like it's more of a confidence thing than anything else, and also to expand on my vocabulary as well.
I think that in certain areas, um, probably in topics I know very well in general in my native language, I find it may be easier to translate.
But when it comes to more technical things, especially when you're talking about your health and stuff, I always find it more comfortable to speak in English, and I would like to get to a stage where I can communicate as much as possible in, uh, Swedish when it comes to more technical or detailed accounts, if you like.
Um, so I need to do that, and I think one of the ways I need to do that is I need to stop watching so much English TV.
Not that I watch a lot, but when I do, it's all my tri- true crime stuff.
You know? That's my thing.
So I need to do that more.
And even, like, uh, if I'm having one of those moments where I am fully locked in and not doing something else on my phone, then I can watch something and have Swedish subtitles.
And I also find myself kind of retaining that and kind of, uh, looking at it and kind of thinking, "Oh, I can use that word for this," and then it actually sticks.
