Can you tell us exactly what the Cabbage Merchant does?

So Cabbage Merchant is, as people know, it's just three mana, two generic, and a green.

I would say, I think 20% of my games, I get to cast it on turn one, and I would say, you know, maybe 20, 30%, and then, you know, 70, 80%, I would cast it on turn
two.

Any later than that, you're playing too honest of magic for three mana commander, but All you need is two colorless and a color, the only color in your commander color identity.

So you cast it early and then you start accruing mana over the course of the game, right? So I think generally how people describe a typical CDH game, right? So let's say you get four turns.

You want to be first couple turns developing your draw engines, right? And then, you know, you'll have a lot of cards.

And then in the mid game, turn three and turn four, where, you know, people all have developed and either people are, you know, trying to win at flash speed and trying to win at their own turn, you want to have developed mana engines, right? So that's like, you know, I know that that's like in two simplistic terms, but like you want to have draw engines and then mana engine.

Whereas what this commander does is it solves your mana engine, mana problem first.

And then there are a lot of cards in the deck that allows you to do stuff because you have so much in it, right? So I know that typically, you know, the first thing you want to tutor out is Academy Manufactor.

And Academy Manufactor, for those who don't know, it's a replacement effect where it says if you were to make a food, treasure, or clue, instead, if you were to make any one of them, you would make all three of them, right? So that is probably the best thing Every non-creature spell that an opponent casts, you're going to make a food.

And that food, because of Academy Manufacture, gets replaced into food, treasure, and clue.

So that one trigger has now given you one and a half mana, right? Treasure and a food.

So, you know, it's not really like a Rhystic Study or a tie, but it's like A pseudo of both, right? I mean, a bit of both, which eventually if you are able to copy your academy manufacturer or you have to get other engines that sort of doubles your triggers of cabbage merchant, now you have like exponential value generation.

And as the game progresses, your academy manufacturer is also a combo piece, right? So you would have, if you have multiple academy manufacturers, So how the replacement effect works with Academy Manufactor is if you have one Academy Manufactor, if you were to make one of any of the three tokens, you make one of each.

If you have two Academy Manufactors, one would replace the replacement of the first one.

So instead of making one, one, one, each of those one gets converted into each token.

And then the threshold really is three academy manufacturers, which you multiply that by three again.
